Before your Wedding
Q. I'm interested in your Wedding Packs, what happens now?
Once you have decided you'd like to know more, I'll organise a mutually convenient time to come and see you (or you can of course come here to the studio if you prefer) to go through everything and answer any questions you might have. There is absolutely NO obligation and NO pressure, I'll also have some samples of my work for you to look at.
Q. What do you go through when we meet?
I'll go through my Wedding Packs with you, discuss any individual needs you might have and show you the samples. I'll also make suggestions and give ideas for your Photography on your Big day.
Q. If we decide to book you what happens next?
After our meeting I leave the date of your Wedding provisionally booked for 1 week whilst you have a think about it. During this time I won't hassle you or contact you at all, as I said before there is NO pressure and NO obligation whatsoever. If you decide to go ahead and book with me you simply fill in the Terms of Business and booking forms (I leave this with you when we meet) and pay your deposit.
Q. How much is the deposit?
A minimum non-returnable deposit of £150 is payable upon booking.

Payments as agreed in the booking terms must be paid on time and in full.
All images remain the property of the photographer. If you purchase digital files (Jpegs) within a Wedding pack or separately, they will be high resolution Jpegs complete with a signed copyright licence. (Cropping may occur with some Jpeg images when resizing is attempted by the client, a service is offered to complete this for you at a standard charge if required)
The client understands & accepts that the photographic coverage will be as the photographer’s professional expertise determines and that no one photograph will be deemed more important than another. Special requests are not binding instruction, although every effort is made to comply with the clients wishes. Any special requests not notified on this booking form must be made by the client to the photographer in writing.
Peter Gammon Photography will be the sole professional (still) photographer/s throughout the wedding day.
All image sizes are nominal. Basic image editing is included in the price, the photographer will provide a pleasing colour balance but cannot guarantee exact colour matching as certain materials may produce unique colours that it's not possible to match. The photographer will perform a standard amount of retouching to take the photographs to a quality of which he is proud. Further editing is available on request and may incur an additional charge.
Wedding coverage will be as agreed in the pre Wedding meeting, however this will be dependant on :
- Availability and co-operation of the person(s) involved
- Bride & Groom or other members of the Wedding party being on time
- Time allowed should be sufficient to capture group & romantic images, if there is not enough time allowed the photographer cannot be held responsible for missed images
- Restrictions placed on the photographer by Church, Registry office or licensed marriage venue officials
- Inclement weather will require adjustments to the schedule which will be done with the client, and the best effort will be made to cover the Wedding within the allotted timescales.
In the event of any unforseen circumstances coverage will be as the photographers professional expertise determines
The photographer shall be granted complete artistic licence including in relation to the poses photographed and the locations used. The photographers judgement regarding the locations/poses and number of images taken shall be final. Due to the vagaries of the weather, time and the willingness of subjects it may not be possible to capture all the images requested.
If your photographic coverage is 7 hours or more a meal and water should be provided for the photographer & assistant.
Images taken may be displayed by Peter in his studio, website, advertising, exhibitions and portfolio if requested
Your selections of pictures for the wedding albums should be made within 6 months of receiving your images, if exceeded this will result in any price increases by the lab being borne by yourselves.
It may be necessary on occasion for the photographer to be replaced by another owing to exceptional circumstances (e.g. ill health)
Please allow up to 12 weeks for delivery of images after your wedding. Every effort will be made to deliver sooner, but during particularly busy times of the year this may not be possible.
Force Majure or Act of God - The due performance of this contract is subject to alteration or cancellation by either party owing to any cause beyond their control
Peter Gammon Photography’s discovery of new information, changes to agreed circumstances, or other factors which tend to circumvent its policies may result in its withdrawal. Non co-operation; changes in locations, facilities or available times; missed appointments and late payments are examples of contributing factors. Should Peter Gammon Photography inititate the withdrawal, all fees will be returned, excluding initial payment as well as fair market value for all services/products already provided. In case of withdrawal £150 an hour is charged for all photography services already provided to the client(s). Should the photographer(s) personal safety or safety of their equipment come under threat at any point during the wedding day, the photographer may cease their duties immediately and no refunds will be provided to the client by Peter Gammon Photography under these circumstances.
Limitation of liability – In the unlikely event of a total photographic failure or cancellation of this contract by either party or in any other circumstance the liability of one party to the other shall be limited to the total value of the contract. Neither party shall be liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Complaints – Any complaints should be raised by the client with the photographer/s in writing, within 28 days of first becoming aware of the matter complained of and in any event within 28 days of receipt of images.
Q. What happens now we've paid the deposit?
I will send you a booking receipt & confirmation once any funds have cleared. I then contact you 4 - 6 weeks before your Wedding to organise your free Engagement shoot and our Wedding planning meeting.
Q. If I think of things I forgot to ask what should I do?
You are always welcome to contact me at any time, planning a Wedding gives you lots to think about and it's easy to forget things here and there!
Q. What happens at the Engagement shoot?
The Engagement shoot is a great time for us all to visit the Venue (or place of ceremony) and get to know each other a little better. It's also great practise in front of the Camera! I'll be looking with you at the best places for photo's and where the best light is (we'll try to get there at the same time of day your Wedding is booked). We will take plenty of pictures of the two of you and discuss exactly what you'd like on the day. This all helps with planning your photography.
Q. Do we have to do the Engagement shoot?
No, it is not compulsory.
Q. What happens with the pictures you take at the Engagement shoot?
These images will be available for you to download and use as you please.
Q. What happens at the planning meeting?
We'll go through each hour of your day, listing which formal photographs (if you wanted any) are required with who and where. I'll make suggestions and offer advice to help make things as smooth as possible. After covering your formal photo's I can then capture the informal ones!
Q. How long will the planning meeting take?
Usually about an hour, depending on the size of the Wedding !
Q. Do we have to have the meeting?
No, although I recommend that you do as it helps make your Wedding day go smoothly.
Q. What happens after the Wedding planning meeting?
I'll put together a plan to use on the day for your photography. Now you can concentrate on everything else and have no need to worry about your photography!
Q. Do we get a copy of your photography schedule?
No, this is for my assistant and I to use and may be subject to changes due to weather, over runs etc. I will make sure all your Photography is covered and you can enjoy your day.
During your Wedding
What time do you arrive on our Wedding day?
I arrive with my assistant at our agreed start time to set up etc. (Start times and where we meet etc are organised at the planning meeting)
Q. What do we need to do now?
I'll start taking pictures just as we agreed at our meeting, this is your Big day, have fun!
Q. What if I think of other photographs I want?
That's no problem, just tell me and I'll do my best to get them for you.
Q. What do I do if we don't stick to schedule?
Don't worry at all, I'll adjust as we go and will do my best to get everything on my plan, even if it's later in the day.
Q. How will you get people for the pictures?
My assistant will help me get anyone we need, I will always be polite and courteous to your guests as will my assistant.
Q. Is there anything you want us to do?
No, just enjoy your day! I'll take care of all your photography.
Q. How many pictures will you take?
I take a lot of pictures to minimise "blinkies" (people with closed eyes in group shots) and to capture the feel of your day. If I'm not taking formal photo's I'll be taking informal and reportage style photo's, so you end up with quite a few!
Q. How will we know when you've finished?
I'll come to see you both to say goodbye. I then leave you to enjoy the rest of your evening!
After your Wedding
Q. When will our pictures be ready?
Your pictures will be ready 12 weeks after your Wedding depending on my workload. (I edit all pictures myself, nothing is sent out to a third party) I will of course do my best to deliver them much sooner.
Q. How do we see our pictures?
You will have a Private Gallery for you and your guests to view and buy pictures. I'll also provide you with a few images as Jpegs for you to use as you please directly after your wedding - these can be used for social media, thank you cards etc.
Q. How do we get into our Private Gallery?
I will email you instructions on how to access your gallery.
Q. How do our guests know about the gallery and password?
If you'd like your guests to access your gallery just let them have your gallery password.
Q. When do we start designing the Album?
Once you have had a good look through your photo's we can start on your Album.
Q. How do we design the album?
Please see the Album Design page for details.
Q. Which of the Albums is best?
Both Classico and Perfetto are excellent albums. Please see the album drop down for more information.
Q. How long will the Album take to finish?
This depends on how many pages you choose and how many adjustments we make. Once the Album is finished it is sent to print, where it takes 7 working days to be produced.
Q. How long will our Wedding Gallery be on the Website?
Your gallery will be there for one full year.
Q. If we had the Jpegs when will we get them?
As soon as your pictures are ready I will post your presentation USB stick & box directly to you.
Q. Do you ever delete the pictures?
No, I archive all my pictures.
Q. Can we buy the Jpegs if we didn't pick a pack that includes them?
Yes, I will supply the Jpegs with the other Wedding Packs, prices on request.
